Our Story

Maybe it all started with a list, because we are planners and dreamers and doers and thinkers. Or maybe it all started before we even realized it had started, and everything that happened up until the point we met only happened so that we would one day meet, like stars aligning and the universe conspiring to make sure that we found each other.

All I know for certain is that we slipped briskly into an intimacy from which we have never recovered. All of the moments and experiences are packed with love and adventure, and whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.

Emily

Girlfriend

My name is Emily, and since I met Dan, my life has been a series of magical adventures and full of so much love. Right I am a special education teacher in a middle school, but I'm hoping to move down to a nice elementary school position in the coming school year, where the kids are smaller and much sweeter. I always wanted to be a teacher, but I've also always wanted to be a novelist, an FBI agent, a psychologist, and a park ranger, so we'll see what the future holds.

Until then, the weekdays are pretty busy with training for races and life as a teacher,  and the weekends are almost equally busy because they are packed with camping, hiking, racing, cycling, and whatever other adventures we can find. The mountains are calling, and we must go.

Dan

Boyfriend

My name is Dan, and I am the lucky guy dating the girl on your left. My day job is working in a pseudo software engineering capacity for a small information technology company, it’s really just to make ends meet until we can become professional adventurers.

I spend most of the traditional work day in front of a computer and usually take any chance to do anything else during other times. Whether that is running, cycling, hiking, playing with my dogs (Blitz and Hashtag) or (and certainly not least) spending time with the girl of my dreams. I like trees more than beaches, sunlight more than fluorescent light, books more than television and roads or trails more than treadmills, and cooking more than eating out.
